Simple Skincare Routine
One of my favorite beauty routines is skincare. And, I know that I’m not alone. * Skincare by Hyram has entered the chat* Last year, here on this blog, I made a promise to myself to start taking my skin’s health more seriously. As I mentioned in that post, I never had a skincare routine and really wasn’t educated in the subject. WELL, now it’s a different story. Over the last few months, I really made an effort to educate myself on the products I use- paying special attention to active ingredients and fragrance. Today, I’m sharing my simple skincare routine and how I cleared my skin.

#Nomakeup Replenishing Cleansing Oil
Ceramide Complex⋆ Emulsifies ⋆ Kefir Hydro Complex
Use: Remove Makeup
I LOVE this oil cleanser. I use about two pumps and it’s able to remove even the heaviest makeup. It emulsifies with water and washes off without leaving a greasy residue afterward. If you do a double cleanse, this is the perfect first step.
Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser
Oil Free ⋆ Soap Free ⋆ Fragrance Free
Use: Cleanse Skin
I’ve really been loving this cleanser. It is gentile and super hydrating. I tend to have dry, sensitive skin, and this has worked great as the second step of my double cleanse.
Vital Vita 12 Synergy Ampoule
12 Vitamins ⋆ Artificial Color Free ⋆ Artificial Fragrance Free
Use: Skin tone + Glow
So I totally bought this thinking it was purely a vitamin C product. Nope, it has 12 vitamins in total that work together to give your skin an amazing glow. I use this every morning after I wash my face by applying 2-3 drops into my hand and then patting on my damp skin. I’ve been using this product for about three months and have loved it so far.
Anthelios 50 Mineral Sunscreen
Oil Free ⋆ Mineral Sunscreen⋆ Fragrance Free
Use: UV Protection
I do have to say this is a THICK sunscreen. A little goes a long way. It also gives a white cast to the skin. But, with that said, I really love how effective this sunscreen is. It gives great long-wearing coverage and is water-resistant.
QUICK TIP: Wear it.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Oil Free ⋆ Cruelty Free ⋆ Fragrance Free
Use: Blemishes + Skin tone
If I were to recommend one serum, this would be it. I LOVE this little miracle worker. While it’s not a cure for acne, it has made a huge difference in the overall appearance of my skin.
QUICK TIP: Apply in the morning and don’t combine with Vitamin C.
Lactic Acid 10% + Ha 2%
Oil Free ⋆ Cruelty Free ⋆ Fragrance Free
Use: Exfoliation
This is the stronger of the Lactic acid the brand offers but is still a gentile chemical exfoliator. I like to use this a few times a week when my skin is clear and just needs to be maintained. I’ll go in with something a little strong (keep reading) when my skin is congested.
QUICK TIP: Make sure you are applying sunscreen and avoid if you have compromised or overly sensitive skin.
Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Oil Free ⋆ Non-comedogenic ⋆ Fragrance Free
Use: Moisture
Again, if I were to recommend one moisturizer, it’s this one. It’s simple and straight to the point. Also, it’s super affordable and you can find it everywhere. Its formulated with Ceramides (help restore the skin barrier) and Hyaluronic Acid. The formulation is super gentile and great for normal to dry skin types.

What’s changed since my last post? For one, I’ve eliminated some steps from my routine. I noticed the less I used the more my skin cleared up. From my morning routine, I’ve removed a toner. From my nighttime routine, I removed toner, hyaluronic acid, and a retinoid and added in niacinamide. I know, I know: hyaluronic acid is amazing, but it’s already formulated in some of my other products… so no reason to add more. As for the toner, I just didn’t see it having a big enough effect to keep buying it. Lastly, I removed the retinoid because.. to be honest, I just never repurchased it.
