Hey…Hey… How ya’ll doin? I know It’s been a while. Ninety-eight days to be exact. Okay, I’m sure no one really noticed, but for my 3 fans and my mother, I’m alive and… I’m BACK! I’m not going to lie, the last few months have been miserable. I’ve been constantly sick- but that’s a story for another post. Today is all about September goals.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been conditioned by the school system for the majority of my life, but I’ve always loved using the change in the (fashion) season and the beginning of a new school year to reflect and create new goals. September is like a mini New Year’s for me.
Here are a few goals I hope to accomplish this September:
Meditation
Meditation is something I’ve always tried to love. I’ve read and watched people online go on and on about the MAGIC of meditation. It’s just never worked out for me. And, I finally know why: my expectations were waaaay too high (shocker). After talking with my therapist, I came to the realization that much like exercise, meditation is a skill that needs to be built. The instant gratification goddess within me died a little. So, this September, I’ve made it my mission to begin incorporating meditation into my everyday life.
Here is the App I’ve been using: Head Space
Morning Productivity
Guys, it finally happened. I’m a morning person? Okay, BOLD statement there. But, for the last few months, I’ve been naturally waking up before my alarm and -the weirdest part- not even tired or cranky. WOW. I’ve never EVER had a single ounce of “morning person” in me. And, all of a sudden, boom.
This September, I want to make the most of my mornings. I have about an hour or so to play with before I need to sit down and log into work. Whether it’s a little extra cleaning or getting in some early morning writing or drawing, I’m looking forward to being more productive.
Reduce Screen Time
Since March, I’ve noticed my dependence on technology for entertainment has drastically increased. This month, I want to shift my focus away from the screens, and towards a project that I’ve wanted to start for a long time. I’ve always loved art. Since I was a kid I’ve loved to paint, draw, and work with mixed mediums. I’ve decided I’m going to start an art Instagram account to showcase some of my designs, projects, and the process. More than anything, this is for fun. I’ll share more when I get it started!
I’m am beyond excited that it’s September… I’m totally one of those fall obsessed people. Bring on the pumpkins! I have some upcoming fall decor and fashion posts planned in the upcoming week- so be on the lookout!
What are your September goals? Let me know in the comments!

Welcome back girly! I absolutely love the idea of a September reset. Becoming a morning person is something I want to actively work on as well. Fingers crossed for progress. Cheers!
Yay for morning people! Getting stuff done in the morning always makes me feel better about the rest of my day.
Honestly, I’ve been LOVING it. So much time for activities!
I love this! Setting goals has always been so intimidating for me, but this September, I’m hoping to be more consistent with my blog, spend more time practicing my ukulele, and take a little time every day to do something fun but pointless. I tend to get way too focused on productivity and monetizing all my hobbies. Anyway, thanks for sharing!!
SAME HERE! I tend to forget that you can have a hobby without focusing on results. I wish you the best of luck! Thanks for reading!
This is a great post! September is a great time to do
A reset. It’s like the equivalent of spring cleaning but in the fall with some pumpkin spice latte lol.
YES! Bring on all the PSLs!!!
I’m having a hard time with #3. Reducing my screen time is the hardest! But I gotta find a way. Thanks for sharing.
It’s been the toughest for me too!
Welcome back! These are awesome goals, and I find I definitely should add in meditation to my routine because I stress WAY too much. Reducing screen time is always something I am trying to work on, too! Thank you so much for sharing!
I’m such a stress ball lately! Thanks for reading!
We have the same goals! I’ve been limiting screen time before bed and in the mornings and it has helped me become a morning person. My mornings are so peaceful when I wake up and don’t reach for my phone.
Yes! I’ve really grown to love my quiet morning to myself!!
I love this so much. September is a great time to set goals. With the holidays coming up, we all definitely need to take some time for ourselves before everything gets too hectic.
Couldn’t agree more- it’s the calm before the holiday storm!
Meditation is on my goals list too! Really hoping it helps me to slow my racing mind and focus better. Good luck with your goals!
Thank you!!
